Sadistic Thugs Successfully Arrested By The Duren Sawit Police Buser Team, Perpetrators Often Threaten Victims With Machetes

JAKARTA - A young man with the initials AA (20) who is a motorcycle robber who often acts in the Pondok Kelapa area, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta can only bow down when he is taken away by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police.

The perpetrator was arrested by the police after carrying out various series of robbery actions using the mode of motorcycle robbery on the side of the road.

The incident occurred when the victim was riding a motorbike alone and crossing the Pondok Kelapa area, Duren Sawit.

"The mode is that the victim was grabbed by the perpetrator with the initials AA while brandishing a sharp weapon," said Duren Sawit Police Chief, AKP Sutikno to reporters, Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Seeing the perpetrator brandishing a sharp weapon at him while on the way, the victim was scared. The perpetrator then ordered the victim to stop his motorbike.

"The victim was afraid and marginalized by the perpetrator. The victim's motorbike was taken by the perpetrator," he said.

The victim then reported the incident to the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters.

After receiving the victim's report, AKP Sutikno immediately ordered the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police to hunt down the perpetrators.

The police then conducted an investigation by asking for witness testimony and CCTV footage around the scene. The perpetrator was identified.

"The case was successfully uncovered by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police. The perpetrators along with evidence of motorbikes and machetes were arrested," he said.

Currently, the perpetrator with the initials AA has been detained at the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters. The perpetrator was charged with Article 368 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 9 years in prison.
