JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with PT Bank DKI conduct collaboration to encourage the implementation of non-cash transactions in the Thousand Islands, DKI Jakarta.
This is realized through a financial literacy and inclusion program entitled National Movement Smart Finance or 'Graise Goes To Pramuka Island' on Pramuka Island, North Thousand Islands.
President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H Widodo, said that financial literacy and inclusion through digital banking services are the keys in responding to various banking transaction needs, especially in the archipelago.
"Bank DKI continues to provide services that reach the people in the Thousand Islands. This is realized by JakOne Abank's agency which utilizes EDC machines as a manifestation of the Laku Pandai program, to QRIS-based payments that can be used as a means of payment transactions on Pramuka Island," Agus said, Tuesday, May 27.
To date, there are 92 merchants in the Thousand Islands equipped with EDC machines for ease of transactions, with a nominal transaction of Rp6.55 billion in the April 2025 period, or an increase of 44.48 percent YoY.

In terms of physical infrastructure for financial services, apart from the Pramuka Island Assistant Branch Office, Bank DKI also provides as many as 12 ATM machines and 1 CRM machine in the Thousand Islands area, which is spread across several islands, namely Pramuka Island, Tidung Island, Harapan Island, Kelapa Island, Pari Island, Untung Java Island, Panggang Island, and 1 CRM engine on Sabira Island.
Meanwhile, the Pandai Laku Program with JakOne Abank agents in the Thousand Islands region already has 34 agents with a transaction nominal of Rp4.92 billion in the April 2025 period.
"Currently, there are 342 QRIS merchants spread across the Thousand Islands in the April 2025 period, or an increase of 3.64 percent yoy, with a nominal transaction of Rp472.52 million, an increase of 155.21 percent yoy, which can be utilized by the island community, especially on Pramuka Island," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of OJK Jabodebek Edwin Nurhadi emphasized the importance of synergy between literacy and financial inclusion in an effort to encourage the welfare of the community.
"OJK Jabodebek together with vertical agencies and other financial service institutions are committed to creating equal access to finance and increasing financial literacy for the people of DKI Jakarta Province, especially in the Thousand Islands," said Edwin.
