Police Dismantle The Ormas Building That Stands On BMKG's Land

SOUTH TANGERANG - Polingan Daerah Metro Jaya dismantled the building allegedly belonging to the GRIB Jaya community organization (ormas) on land owned by BMKG in Pondok Betung, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, Banten, on Saturday.

"They control land without rights, belonging to the BMKG," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi as reported by Antara.

"This forced demolition step carried out by the police is a follow-up to the results of reporting on the construction of buildings without a permit," he said.

He said that from the results of the inspection on the land, there were buildings rented by mass organizations to traders.

"They gave permission to several parties, several local businessmen such as pecel catfish, traders of sacrificial animals. They collected it illegally," said Kombes Ade.

He said that the activity of granting permits from mass organizations to open stalls to traders was known to have made tens of millions of rupiah in profits.

"The pecel catfish field is collected for IDR 3.5 million per month. Then from the traders, the sacrificial animals are collected for IDR 22 million. So, these two victims immediately transfer them to unscrupulous members of the mass organization with the initials Y," he said.

Ade explained that the perpetrator with the initials Y was the chairman of the DPC of the GRIB Jaya Tangsel mass organization.

His party deployed 426 personnel from Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Tangsel to carry out the demolition.

He also emphasized that there is no room for any form of thuggery activities in the Polda Metro Jaya area. Every time a report comes in, it will follow up.

"So that people don't hesitate, don't be afraid to report any form of disturbance to public order, criminal events, and disturbances from thugs. The state must not lose, the state must be present," he said.
