Badung Regency Government Contract Employees Died In The Current While Looking For Drones Falling

DENPASAR - Bali Basarnas Office found the body of I Made Gede Tedy Putra Yana (19) a drone operator or drone that was carried away during the shooting process during the view of Badung Regency.

"The victim, who was reportedly caught in a trap while taking the drone that fell in the Nungnung Waterfall, Petang, Badung Regency, was finally found dead," said Bali Basarnas Field Coordinator Made Widya Antara, Friday, May 23.

Initially, the victim was found to have been swept away by the current and drowned in the Nungnung Falls at 11.30 WITA Thursday (22/5) yesterday.

Basarnas Bali first received a report at 13.05 WITA, then a team with seven personnel moved to the location to conduct a search.

The incident began when the victim flew a drone with two of his colleagues and suddenly the device crashed.

They tried to take the drone that got stuck, but unfortunately, Tedy Putra slipped and was caught in the rocks.

His two colleagues tried to help, but failed, the people who followed helped were also unable to fight the swift current.

The Basarnas Bali rescue team then arrived at the location at 15.25 WITA and immediately coordinated with other related SAR elements, but the search for the first day had not been successful due to heavy rain and increased discharge.

On this second day, as many as seven personnel returned to search for Tedy Putra around Nungnung Falls.

According to the SAR operation plan, the search area was focused on yesterday's victim's position which was pinched between a large rock and other teams combing around the river.

"What was done was to trace around the victim who was suspected yesterday of being trapped in the swift water, various efforts have been made," said Made Widya.

Finally the victim's body was found and a member managed to hold the victim's leg even though he was constrained by the blocking wood while the team tried to divert the flow of water using a tarpaulin.

"The obstacle faced by the swift water that came down from upstream made it difficult for victims to be removed from the existing holes, so we used hooks," he said.

Finally, at around 13:46 WITA, the evacuation process was successfully carried out, and then Tedy Putra's body was taken to the Mangusada Hospital using an PMI ambulance in Badung Regency.
