Pramono Admits He Just Knows State Elementary Schools In The Thousand Islands Almost Collapsed, Orders To The Ranks Improved

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he had just learned about the news that one of the state elementary schools (SDN) in the Thousand Islands had almost collapsed.

Pramono said he would immediately order his staff to allocate a total rehabilitation budget for the school in this year's APBD.

"Well, I'll check, yes. If you really want to collapse and it's not allowed (there is a school to collapse) to occur in Jakarta, I will order it to be included (in the school repair budget)," said Pramono in the Blok M area, South Jakarta, Friday, May 23.

Previously, Member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Anggi Arando Siregar, admitted that he received reports from residents that the condition of the Pulau Harapan 01 Pagi State Elementary School (SDN), North Thousand Islands District, Thousand Islands is now concerning.

According to residents' reports, Anggi said that he directly monitored the location. He saw that the condition of SDN 01 Pulau Seribu was no longer feasible.

"I checked that there was an SDN 01 in the Thousand North Islands, the Jakarta school, but almost half of the asbestos were lost," said Anggi.

He was worried that the inappropriate condition would endanger the students. "So there are 10 classes, two classes are used for school principals and teachers, the remaining eight classes. The other two classes are likely to collapse," Anggi added.

From this condition, the member of the Gerindra Party faction of the DKI DPRD regretted the fact that SDN 01 Thousand Islands was not included in the school data that will be renovated in 2025 and 2026.

In fact, according to him, the total rehabilitation of SDN 01 has been urgent to be carried out.

"Earlier I checked in 2025 and in 2026 there was no name for this school for its construction. Please check the Education Office directly there," said Anggi.

Therefore, he urged the Education Office to immediately follow up on the complaint. He hopes that schools are worthy of equitable not only in mainland Jakarta, but also in islands.

"So, we are busy here building schools. But schools in the Thousand Islands almost collapsed like that," he added.
