Limited View Distance Heavy Rain Allegedly Triggers Serial Accident Of 5 Vehicles On The Cileunyi Toll Road

BANDUNG - A series of accidents involving five vehicles occurred on the Cileunyi KM 152 toll road towards Bandung, Wednesday morning.

Allegedly, bad weather and limited visibility due to heavy rains triggered the incident.

Head of Bandung Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Danu Raditya Atmadja, said the accident occurred at around 06.45 WIB, when it rained heavily in the area.

"Yes, the incident occurred around 06.45 WIB. The reason is suspected to be due to weather and visibility," said Danu when confirmed in Bandung, Antara, Wednesday, May 21.

According to Danu, the five vehicles involved in the accident were traveling from Cileunyi to Padalarang in a state of heavy rain.

Although all the vehicles were damaged by the impact, fortunately there were no casualties or injuries in the incident.

"As a result of the accident, there were no injuries or fatalities, but damage to all the vehicles involved," he explained.

All vehicles involved have been successfully evacuated from the scene. Currently, the traffic flow on the toll road has returned to normal.

Danu appealed to motorists to be more vigilant and careful, especially when driving in bad weather conditions.

"We urge the public to remain careful when driving during the rainy season," he said.
