Vice President Gibran Blusukan To School Kitchen Check MBG Menu

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka blusukan to the school kitchen in Jakarta to ensure that the dishes in the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program consumed by students are truly safe and nutritious.

The activity took place at SMPN 61 Jakarta. The vice president witnessed the distribution and presentation of food to students.

"I want to make sure it's not only the number of beneficiaries, but also the quality. Food must be safe, healthy, and decent," said Vice President Gibran as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 20.

He also had a dialogue with students, as well as support staff to obtain more detailed information regarding the type of menu, cooking process, and time for eating food.

The vice president said the success of the MBG program was not only measured by the number of beneficiaries, but also from the quality of the food consumed.

The vice president directly checked the condition of the kitchen, asked about the cooking process, and observed the storage of foodstuffs.

Gibran also greeted the students who were enjoying lunch and heard directly their opinions about the taste and variety of the menu.

In line with the direction of the Vice President, the 9th grade math teacher of SMPN 61 Jakarta, Yanizar, said the variety of MBG menus provided was very diverse, including sources of protein, vegetables, and fruits.

"Alhamdulillah, so far no bad conditions have been found. Everything is fresh, it can be proven by yourself. Today the menu is fish, delicious. Thank God the children are all eager to wait for food," said Yanizar.

The same thing was conveyed by two 9th grade students, Priyanka Nabashat and Leandra Tularfainas, who mentioned that one of their favorite menus was soy sauce chicken.

"So far, it's been fresh, especially since the fruit is fresh," said Priyanka.

"The contents are full of protein, so it can make a lot of energy too," said Leandra.
