JAKARTA - The Profession and Security Division (Bidang Propam) of the North Maluku Police (Malut) will soon hold a trial for the alleged violation of the code of ethics that dragged the name of the former Deputy Chief of the Taliabu Island Police, Kompol SJ.

"Just waiting for the trial schedule from Propam, the ethics trial process related to the alleged affair will be carried out soon," said Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Police, Kombes Pol Bambang Suharyono in Ternate, Tuesday, May 20, as reported by Antara.

Bambang explained, to hold the trial, the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) will first be formed which is tasked with examining and deciding cases of alleged violations by Kompol SJ.

"Kompol SJ has been transferred with a demonstration to Yanma Polda. So, just waiting for the schedule for the code of ethics trial from Propam, for that it is necessary to form a commission first," he said.

Previously, Kompol SJ was quickly secured by the North Maluku Police Propam Bid and given disciplinary sanctions in the form of special placement (pathus) on suspicion of infidelity with an individual member of the North Maluku DPRD with the initials AYM.

This case emerged to the public after Dini Apriliani, the biological child of Kompol SJ, revealed allegations of her father's affair through a number of uploads on social media on Sunday, February 23. The upload then went viral and sparked public attention.

The North Maluku Regional Police stated their commitment to resolve this case in accordance with the applicable regulations in the National Police institution.

Kompol SJ is still waiting for the ethics trial process held by the North Maluku Police Professional and Security Division (Bidpropam) team regarding the alleged affair with one of the North Maluku DPRD members with the initials AYM.

As is known, Propam has examined expert witnesses, now only waiting for the filing and the establishment of the ethics trial commission.

"The testimony from the expert witness has been obtained. Currently, we are just waiting for the filing process and the formation of the commission to lead the trial," said Bambang.

For this reason, the Head of Public Relations reminded all members of the North Maluku Regional Police to use this case as an important lesson, because according to the Police Chief's commitment, every violation will be dealt with according to the rules.
