At The Trial, Former Semarang Walkot Mbak Ita Claims To Remind Her Husband Not To Interfere In City Government Affairs

SEMARANG - Former Mayor of Semarang Hevearita G. Rahayu and husband of Alwin Basri were examined as witnesses in the trial of the alleged bribery case for the procurement of tables and elementary school seats in 2023 in the city.

Hevearita and Arwin Basri were questioned in the trial of the alleged bribery case given by the Director of PT Deka Sari Perkasa, Rachmat Utama Djangkar, at the Semarang Corruption Court, Friday, May 16.

In his statement, Hevearita explained about the mechanism for submitting budget changes in the City Government.

He explained that the submission of budget changes was submitted through a memo equipped with a study on the proposed allocation

"There is no special report on submitting the procurement of tables and elementary school seats due to submissions from the Education Office globally," he said in a trial chaired by Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi as reported by ANTARA.

However, Hevearita admitted that he had questioned the amount of the budget proposal, which amounted to Rp20 billion.

According to him, the Head of the Semarang City Education Office said that the proposed budget for the procurement of tables and elementary schools seats was the aspiration of Alwin Basri as Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java DPRD.

On the proposal of this aspiration, Hevearita also asked her husband.

"I conveyed not to participate in the Semarang City Government affairs," he added.

Meanwhile, Alwin Basri admitted that he had known Rachmat Utama Djangkar for a long time.

He said the defendant Rachmat Djangkar helped him during the 2019 Legislative Election in the Rembang and Pati areas.

"Pak Rachmat has many relatives and friends in the Rembang area," he said.

Alwin denied regulating PT Deka Sari Perkasa as the winner of the auction for the work of procuring tables and elementary schools and not receiving any money from the defendant Rachmat Djangkar.

"Just ask for help with banners for the selection of candidates for DPR members in the Rembang area, Pati, Blora," he added.

Previously in the indictment of the public prosecutor, the defendant Raxhmat Utama Djangkar gave Rp1.75 billion to Alwin Basri and Hevearita G. Rahayu.

The money is referred to as a fee for the work on the procurement of tables and elementary schools in the Semarang City area in 2023 worth IDR 20 billion.
