Regarding Business Capital, Papuan Parliament Mountains: Realization Not Now

WAMENA - Deputy Chairman I of the Papuan People's Representative Council (DPRP) of the Mountains, Hengky D Yikwa, appealed to residents in eight Papua Mountains districts not to be easily provoked by issues related to business capital assistance.

This appeal was conveyed by Hengky following the arrival of hundreds of residents, the majority of native Papuan mothers, to the Office of the Governor of Papua Mountains in Wamena, Thursday, May 15. They came to ask about the clarity of the business capital assistance program which is rumored to be distributed by the provincial government.

"We hope that residents should not easily believe in any issues, especially regarding business capital, because it can cause a commotion in the community," said Hengky in Wamena, quoted from Antara.

He explained, in the vision and mission of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua Mountains, John Tabo and Ones Pahabol, there was indeed a plan to provide business capital assistance for Papuan mothers in eight districts. However, he said, the realization of the program was not carried out at this time.

"The realization is not now. After 100 working days, then the Governor and Deputy Governor will go directly to eight districts to deliver the program," he said.

To avoid the spread of misleading information, Hengky appealed to residents to clarify directly to official agencies, both at the governor's office and the relevant regional apparatus organizations (OPD).

"Direct checks to sources of information are important so as not to get caught up in fake news or hoaxes that could be spread by irresponsible parties," he said.

He also hopes that the community will continue to maintain a security and order situation so that government, economic and educational activities in Papua and the Mountains can run smoothly.
