JAKARTA - The 19th Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) Conference or the Association of State Parliament Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OKI) held by the DPR RI has begun. The agenda for the first day of the OKI Parliament conference is the determination of the agenda and affirmation of the theme and substance that will be discussed in this OKI parliamentary forum.
The 19th PUIC was held at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on May 12, 2025. The 19th PUIC session which was held for 5 days was attended by a parliamentary delegation of 37 OIC member countries.
Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mardani Ali Sera, said that on this first day a number of representatives of the OKI parliament set an agenda with the theme 'Good Governance and Strong Institution as a Pillar of Resilience' through a standing commitment meeting.

Mardani, who directly chaired the 53rd PUIC standing committee (economy committee) session, also called on and strongly condemned Israel's expanding settlements in an illegal way and systematic genocide that occurred in Gaza, which the House of Representatives voiced at today's meeting.
"Indonesia urges all PUIC members to take concrete action through parliamentary diplomacy, humanitarian solidarity, and support for international legal processes to hold all responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel to uphold justice for the Palestinian people," he explained.
Mardani added that PUIC must be able to bridge peace for countries that are in conflict.
