The Cirebon City Resort Police (Polres) is handling a case of alleged sexual harassment of a teenage girl with disabilities allegedly committed by a nurse with the initials DS (31) at a hospital in Cirebon. Until now, as many as 11 witnesses have been questioned by the police.
Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Eko Iskandar revealed that of the eleven witnesses, four of them came from the victim, namely father, mother, uncle, and victim themselves. Meanwhile, seven other witnesses came from the hospital internally.
"So far we have examined 11 witnesses. We are handling this case professionally and transparently to ensure justice for victims," said AKBP Eko as quoted by VOI from Antara, Monday, May 12.
AKBP Eko also emphasized that the post-mortem had been carried out on the victim as part of an effort to collect evidence. In addition, the police are trying to access CCTV footage from the scene to strengthen existing facts.
"We will be professional and transparent in handling this case. We are currently gathering evidence to strengthen the legal process," he stressed.
According to police statement, the alleged harassment took place on December 21, 2024, but it was only revealed in April 2025 after the victim ventured to tell her brother and parents. The hospital had made mediation efforts on April 29 and 30, 2025 between the victim and the alleged perpetrator, but the mediation failed.

"After mediation hit a stalemate, the victim's family finally decided to report the case to the Cirebon City Police on May 5, 2025," said Eko.
The police chief also appealed to the public not to spread information that had not been verified so as not to interfere with the course of the investigation. He emphasized that the police would take firm action against all forms of similar crimes.
"We ask the public not to lead opinions that are not necessarily true so as not to make it difficult for us to resolve this case," he said.
On that occasion, Eko emphasized that the Cirebon City Police were ready to accommodate reports from the public who may have experienced a similar incident, as a form of commitment to the protection of victims.
"We will not tolerate cases like this. It's too late," he concluded.
