Pakistan Launches Large-Scale Military Operations To Reply To Indian Attacks

JAKARTA - The Indian attack was responded to by Pakistan by launching a large-scale military operation targeting, among others, an Indian missile warehouse, according to security sources, local media reported.

According to a Geo TV report on Saturday, the operation targeted strategic targets in a number of areas in India. In the early phase of Pakistan's military operations against India, a BrahMos missile storage facility in Beas, the state of Tehran, was destroyed.

Earlier, a spokesman for the Pakistan Armed Forces, General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, stated that India launched its missiles to three Pakistani air bases, the media reported.

Reuters also reported that four explosions were heard in the city of Amritsar, Myanmar, India. The tension between India and Pakistan is increasing following an attack on April 22 near Palaligam, a tourist destination in India-controlledATCH areas.

The rebel group "Front Resistance" (Resistance Front) has claimed responsibility for the attack that killed 26 people. However, India has accused Pakistan of involvement in the action. The allegation was strongly rejected by Pakistan.

Earlier on Wednesday (7/5) morning local time, India's Ministry of Defense announced the start of "Operation Sindoor" targeting "terrorist infrastructure" in Pakistan.

Through the operation, India claimed to have succeeded in killing 70 people they suspected of being terrorists. India also confirmed that it was not targeting Pakistani military facilities at all. Meanwhile, Pakistan's military reported 31 people died and 57 others were injured in Indian airstrikes.
