JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has ensured that the distance between hotels occupied by Indonesian pilgrims to the Grand Mosque, Makkah, is at most about 4.5 kilometers.
"Congregants will occupy hotels in the Syisyah, Raudhah, Jarwal, and Misfalah areas," said Head of the Public Relations and Public Communication Bureau of the Ministry of Religion Akhmad Fauzin in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, May 8.
Fauzin said that of the four areas, the total hotels that will be used by Indonesian pilgrims are 205 hotels that have gone through the quality verification process and complete facilities.
Regarding consumption, each person will get three meals per day with a menu that is adjusted to the archipelago of the Archipelago.
"We also ensure that hygienic aspects and nutritional content are strictly considered. In total, pilgrims will get 84 meals while in Makkah," he said.
In addition, transportation for the mobility of pilgrims from the hotel to the Grand Mosque and vice versa, will be prepared for prayer buses that operate regularly for 24 hours at each bus stop and terminal.
Currently, the congregation of the first wave has departed in Medina. They will be in Medina for 9 to 10 days before departing for Makkah.
As of Thursday, as many as 112 flying groups with a total of 44,601 people had arrived in the Holy Land. Meanwhile, Thursday, the plan is to depart 19 flying groups with a total of 7,501 people.
