Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal said that local government official car owners who are in arrears of taxation will be subject to sanctions for cutting performance allowances (tukin).

"In addition to facilitating the community in the tax bleaching program, the city and district governments that are in arrears in taxing our vehicles will also whiten this year," said Rahmat Mirzani Djausal in Bandarlampung, Saturday.

He said this year will be the last year his party has helped local governments whose official vehicles are in arrears of taxes through the tax bleaching program.

"Those who were in arrears yesterday's official vehicle tax when checked were still quite a lot. But this is the last time that next year there are still local governments who are in arrears in taxing their official vehicles, we will give sanctions," he said.

He said the sanctions that will be given to local governments whose official vehicles experience tax death are by cutting the performance allowance of the official car owners.

"For those who have official cars and do not pay taxes, we will cut the tukin. This is done so that it becomes an example for the community if they have to obey the tax," he said.

According to him, this year his party will facilitate bleaching for official vehicles that are tax-dead, as a form of helping local governments that are experiencing financial problems due to efficiency.

"Regional financial conditions are not good, therefore we will help through bleaching first this year. However, next year there will be no more because they pay taxes from the APBD and this will return again to enter the APBD by paying taxes," he added.
