Searching 16 Locations In West Kalimantan, KPK Turns Out To Be Investigating Allegations Of Corruption In The Road Improvement Of The Mempawah Regency Public Works Service

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has investigated allegations of corruption related to road improvement work by the Mempawah District Public Works (PU) when searching 16 locations in West Kalimantan province. VOI sources said this project occurred in 2015.

"(The search in Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan is related to corruption in the work of increasing Jalan Sekabuk-Sei Semeram and the work of improving Jalan Sekit Rama-Sei Semeram at the Mempawah Public Works Office for the 2015 Fiscal Year," said the source via text message, Friday, May 2.

This VOI source said that there were three suspects who had been named. They are A as the official commitment maker who is still active as a state civil servant (ASN) in Mempawah Regency; IS who is the Head of the Working Group (Pokja); and LK who is the President Director of PT ABP.

Meanwhile, the KPK has not officially detailed the suspects or the case underlying the search last week. KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika only confirmed the existence of three suspects.

"From this investigation, the KPK has named three suspects. Two people are state administration and one person is private," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, April 30.

To collect evidence, continued Tessa, there are 16 locations in Kapupaten Mempawah, Sanggau, and Pontianak. Electronic evidence and a number of documents related to allegations of corruption are being handled.

"It has not been explained in detail for any locations but there are offices and houses, several offices and houses," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK searched a number of locations to look for evidence of alleged corruption in West Kalimantan Province. The exact position is reported in Mempawah Regency.
