JAKARTA - Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding said that many Indonesians are non-procedural or illegal migrant workers. In fact, the majority are victims of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO).

This was conveyed by Karding when he visited the Poliran Vocational Center belonging to the Banten Police in Serang, Banten on Friday, May 2.

"95 percent of our data, those who experienced violence, who experienced exploitation, unfair treatment, and even TIP were people who departed non-procedurally or illegally," said Karding.

Therefore, socialization related to TIP prevention and sending non-procedural migrant workers must be carried out massively. So, the community can be educated.

"Our arrival here also educates the public through a movement called a joint statement that we have just made," he said.

On the other hand, Karding also took the time to see how the vocational hall operates. Starting from education or training on fish cultivation, welding to livestock.
