RIAU - The Pangkalpinang Immigration Office in Bangka Belitung (Babel) deported two Pakistani Foreign Citizens (WNA) with the initials MA and SS who carried out humanitarian fundraising in the area. Both of them were also banned from coming back to Indonesia.

"These two foreigners are subject to sanctions for immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and deviation," said Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Pangkalpinang through the Head of Intelligence and Enforcement of Wahyu Purwanto in Pangkalpinang, Wednesday, April 30, as reported by Antara.

He said the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Pangkalpinang had secured two Pakistani foreigners, only holders of residence permits for visits with pre-invest needs.

The results of coordination with the Ministry of Religion of Pangkalpinang City confirmed reports of two foreigners raising funds for humanitarian activities in the Middle East region.

"The results of yesterday's examination, the two foreigners admitted and confirmed that they had indeed asked for and received donations from the community," he said.

He stated that during the examination and deepening of the two foreigners, the Pangkalpinang Immigration Office had coordinated with the Ministry of Religion of Pangkalpinang City regarding the existence and activities of these foreign nationals.

"The two foreigners not only raise humanitarian funds to people's homes, but also target places of worship and shops in Pangkalpinang City," he said.

He said previously that Pangkalpinang Immigration received a report from an agency member of the Foreigner Monitoring Team, that there were activities of foreigners raising funds for humanitarian activities.

After receiving the report, the Pangkalpinang Immigration team immediately conducted an initial examination of the two foreign nationals at the Al Iman Jami Mosque in Air Itam, Bukit Intan District, Pangkalpinang City on Monday, April 28.

"We appeal to the entire community to always be vigilant and if they know of all forms of suspicious foreign citizen activities in the surrounding environment and are expected to immediately report to the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Pangkalpinang," he said.
