JAKARTA - France announced the arrival of refugees from the Gaza Strip, Palestine with health and humanitarian considerations, guaranteeing their right to return to their homeland.
More than 100 Palestinians evacuated from the war-torn Gaza Strip by France on Wednesday arrived in the country Friday, the foreign ministry said in an announcement at a news conference.
"Over the past 18 months, France has been working to ensure the safety of its citizens and dependents, staff of the French Institute in Gaza and their families, as well as Palestinian figures who have ties to our country," a ministry spokesman said. April 25.
"Among those who were evacuated there were many children who were finally able to reunite with their families living in France," the spokesman continued, adding the evacuation followed the previous evacuation involving 59 people on April 16.

"France reaffirms its commitment to the right of Gazans to return to the enclave," the statement continued, saying France "reaffirmed its opposition to the forced transfer of Palestinians from Gaza, which would be a serious violation of international law and the main destabilization factor for our close partners, Egypt and Jordan, as well as for the entire region."
The statement added, "such actions will also undermine the diplomatic outlook for resolving the conflict, which must involve implementing a two-state solution."
