The Case Of The Soulowe Village Head In Central Sulawesi Lecehkan Anak, Kejari Donggala Check Witnesses

The Donggala District Attorney (Kejari) has examined a number of witnesses in the alleged sexual harassment case of minors with the perpetrator of the Village Head (Kades) Soulowe, Dolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng), with the initials WHM.

"Based on information from the general criminal section (pidum), the case is still at the stage of proof and examination of witnesses," said Head of Intelligence Section of the Kejari Donggala Ikram in Banawa, Friday, April 25, as reported by Antara.

He revealed that the perpetrator had been detained at the Class II B Donggala Detention Center (Rutan) since February 20, 2025.

Ikram said the perpetrator violated Article 6 letter a Jo Article 15 paragraph 1 letter g of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the crime of sexual violence or Article 82 paragraph 1 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2022 concerning child protection.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Service (PMD) of Sigi Ambar Regency explained that he had not taken a stance for the temporary and definitive dismissal of the Soulowe Village Head.

"For the Soulowe Village Head, we are waiting for the trial verdict," he said.

He said, if the court's decision had permanent legal force, the local government would immediately dismiss the Soulowe Village Head.

"If the verdict is over 5 years then a permanent dismissal will be carried out, if the sentence is under 5 years then a temporary suspension," he said.

Based on Law number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages in article 41 that the village head is temporarily suspended by the regent after being declared a defendant who is threatened with a minimum imprisonment of 5 years based on the court case register.

Furthermore, article 42 states that the village head was temporarily dismissed by the regent after being named a suspect in a criminal act of corruption, terrorism, treason or criminal acts against state security.

It is known that the Head of Soulowe Village with the initials WHM is suspected of committing a criminal act of sexual harassment against minors that occurred in May 2023.
