JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has written to the Indonesian Health Consil (KKI) to ask for the revocation of registration certificates (STR) for obstetricians who sexually abuse perpetrators in Garut, West Java.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Communication and Public Information Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Aji Muhawarman, after the doctor's actions went viral on social media. His party is certain to take a firm stance because of the protection of the most important patient.

"The Ministry of Health has sent a letter to the KKI asking for the revocation of the STR," said Aji in a written statement, Wednesday, April 16.

Aji said that this revocation would automatically abort the doctor's practice permit.

"The Ministry of Health will also recommend to the local health office to revoke the SIP of the perpetrators," he said.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health strongly condemns the actions of the doctor who sexually harassed him. "This incident injures the noble values of the medical profession and damages public confidence in medical personnel and health services," said Aji.

KKI, he continued, is also currently conducting a thorough examination. The development of this case will also continue to be monitored.
