JAKARTA - Former Deputy Mayor of Palembang, South Sumatra for the 2016-2023 period Fitrianti Agustinda (FA) is a suspect in a case of alleged corruption in managing the cost of replacing blood treatment at PMI Palembang City in 2020-2023.

The head of the Palembang District Attorney's Office, Hutamrin, said that after the investigation, the investigative team named Fitrianti, who also served as Chair of the Palembang PMI for the 2019-2024 period as a suspect.

In addition, investigators also named DS as another suspect who served as Head of Administration and General Affairs at the PMI Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) Palembang City.

"Two valid pieces of evidence were found according to Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code, so today the investigative team has named the FA as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in managing the cost of replacing the blood treatment of PMI Palembang City," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 8.

The mode of this case stems from the alleged misuse of the management of the cost of substitutes for blood treatment in the city of Palembang from 2020 to 2023 where it is suspected that the use of funds is not in accordance with the provisions that cause potential state losses.

Meanwhile, the amount of state financial losses will be calculated by BPKP.

Now Fitrianti Agustinda is being held for the next twenty days in the Palembang women's prison and DS in Pakjo prison, Palembang.

The former Deputy Mayor of Palembang FA said that in this case there were no grant funds that caused state losses.

"Please note, there are no grant funds that are detrimental to the state and that has been calculated by BPKP," he said.
