Homecoming Route In Garut Slopes On Takbiran Night

GARUT - The flow of vehicle traffic on the D-1 Lebaran homecoming route or during the night of takbiran is sloping on the national route across Limbangan or the provincial route across Kadungora to the urban area of Garut Regency, West Java, Sunday night.

Garut Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Fajar Gemilang said the flow of motorized vehicle traffic on various main routes of Garut Regency had been observed to have turned normal compared to the previous day.

"Alhamdulillah, today the traffic flow situation has been monitored normally and the volume of vehicles has decreased so far, and we have not implemented a 'one way' system today," he said in Garut, Antara, Sunday, March 30.

The police chief and his staff after the peak of the H-2 homecoming flow directly monitored the conditions of traffic flow on national routes such as Limbangan-Malangbong, then Kadungora-Leles.

Currently, D-1 Lebaran, he said, the route that was previously crowded with the flow of vehicles from Bandung to Garut was already sloping, there was no congestion.

He conveyed, even though the traffic conditions of vehicles were smooth on the homecoming route, his staff remained alert to carry out monitoring and arrangements to keep them smooth.

"We continue to monitor and regulate to ensure smooth traffic, as well as provide a sense of security for motorists," he said.

In addition to security on the homecoming route, the Garut Police also increased security on the urban road of Garut Regency on the night of the takbiran.

Head of the Garut Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Aang Andi Suhandi, said that his party at securing the takbiran night in the urban area of Garut implemented lane engineering, and road closures to apply "car free night" on Ahmad Yani Street until midnight.

"motorized vehicles are not allowed to enter the circle in urban areas, except for logistics, health, and other necessities," he said.

He conveyed that a number of members were alerted across all routes to carry out insulation, and only allowed pedestrians to enter Garut urban areas during the night of the takbiran.

According to him, efforts to close roads in urban areas are to avoid the occurrence of vehicle densities that can disrupt and hinder other community activities.

"For people who want to take part in this 'free Night' activity, the government provides a vehicle parking location at five points," he said.
