Plastic Waste Burns Near Soetta Airport, Thick Smoke Soars High

TANGERANG - There was a fire in the Plastic Waste Field near Soekarno Hatta Airport or to be precise on Jalan Raya Belimbing, Kosambi, Tangerang Regency.

The Head of the Tangerang Regency BPBD Fire and Rescue Agency, Agun Guntara, said the incident occurred on Sunday, March 30, at 15.19 WIB.

"The waste field, the burning cosambi," Agun said when confirmed, Sunday, March 30.

A number of personnel and 5 Firefighters Units (Damkar) of Tangerang Regency were deployed to extinguish the fire

"4 firefighters from Tangerang Regency and 1 Soetta Airport. There will be more later," he said.

Regarding the cause of the fire, he admitted that he could not convey it. Because it is still in the process of being extinguished.

"Later, yes," said Agun Guntara.

Meanwhile, Ass. Deputy Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M. Holik Muardi, confirmed that the fire did not occur in the Soetta Airport area, Tangerang City.

"The fire did not occur in the Soetta Airport area," said Holik.

Holik admitted that he could not tell whether the fire had interfered with the movement of the plane at Soetta Airport. He said that his party was coordinating first to find out more detailed information regarding the incident.
