JAKARTA - Acting Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections Saffar Muhammad Godam said immigration services throughout Indonesia would temporarily close during the joint holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi, March 27 to April 7, 2025.

Godam appealed to people who will apply for passports, visas, residence permits, and other immigration documents to complete their applications before Thursday, March 27 to avoid obstacles in the service process that may arise after collective leave.

"The visa system can accept applications until Thursday. However, the last working day before collective leave and Eid and Nyepi holidays is Wednesday (26/3). So, for people who have an urgent need to take care of passports, please complete them before March 26, "said Godam in his statement in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, March 24.

Residents who wish to extend their stay permit can access their services online via evisa.imigration.go.id to avoid overstaying. The verification process by officers will be completed after a joint holiday.

Meanwhile, for visa applications, applications that come in starting Thursday (27/3) and/or during the joint holidays will begin to be processed after the joint holiday ends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

"We are still maximally operational for inspection of departures and arrivals at immigration checkpoints throughout Indonesia as well as electronic visa services on arrival or e-VoA," added Godam.

Godam appealed to people who have urgent needs to use passport acceleration services a day before Thursday (27/3). This service can be accessed at all immigration offices and immigration lounges at a cost of IDR 1,000,000 plus an electronic passport fee of IDR 950,000.

"It should be noted that this service does not apply to passport replacement management because it is damaged or lost," he said.

Immigration lounge is a immigration document management facility outside the immigration office. Currently, immigration lounge is available at Pondok Indah Mall 3 South Jakarta, Senayan City Central Jakarta, Taman Anggrek Mall West Jakarta, Grand Metropolitan Mall Bekasi, Pesona Square Mall Depok, Ciputra World Surabaya, and Icon Mall Gresik East Java.

In addition, the public is also advised to take their passports before the joint holidays begin. Meanwhile, people who already have a passport processing schedule after holidays, but are still in their hometowns, can reschedule through the M-Passport application.

On the other hand, people who need emergency services such as passport management for treatment abroad and their nuclear families die or are sick abroad, can contact the nearest immigration office hotline.

"During the holidays there were our officers at immigration offices who were on service picket. This service was only for conditions that were really urgent, for example the applicant was sick and had to seek treatment abroad or the applicant was the core family of someone who died or was sick abroad. For this reason, it must be proven by supporting documents," Godam.
