Urges Police To Arrest Thugs Under The Guise Of Mass Organizations Asking For THR, Commission III Of The DPR Urges: They Commit Criminal Acts

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Abdullah urged the police to arrest thugs under the guise of a community organization (Ormas) who asked for holiday allowances (THR) forcibly. According to him, the authorities can open a complaint post related to the thuggery action.

Abdullah revealed that the existence of thugs under the guise of mass organizations had long been complained of by the public, government agencies, businessmen, and parties who had been victims of bullying. In addition, he said, thugs under the guise of mass organizations also often spread terror.

"The thugs under the guise of mass organizations are always acting up and harassing the public. They feel they are the rulers of the region, so they can harass them arbitrarily," Abdullah said, Saturday, March 22.

Abdullah views that the act of thuggery under the guise of mass organizations is increasingly striking ahead of the holiday. They toured several locations to ask for THR. They also came to educational institutions, government agencies, factories, shops, and places that could be mapped.

This year, their actions were busy in the spotlight, because they were caught on camera, then went viral on social media. All the public also criticized the acts of thuggery under the guise of mass organizations which were very disturbing.

The act of bullying thugs did not only occur in one area, but occurred in several locations. In fact, the thugs often commit violence to their victims, if their request is not granted.

"They carry sharp weapons and commit violence against the victim. Obviously it is a form of thuggery that should not be allowed," Abdullah said.

Therefore, the PKB legislator from the Central Java VI electoral district urged the police to bring order and arrest thugs who claimed to be mass organizations.

"They have committed a crime by committing extortion and violence," he said.

On the other hand, Abdullah appreciated the police for arresting thugs who spread terror. According to him, the police must move quickly if there are thugs who extort on the pretext of asking for THR.

"The police can create a complaint post for people who become victims of thugs under the guise of mass organizations. People must dare to report to the police," Abdullah concluded.

Previously, the thugs under the guise of mass organizations carried out burglary and spread terror in several areas. Among them, thugs who asked THR to go to a factory in Bantar Gebang, Bekasi City, West Java. After the video went viral, the perpetrator was arrested by the police.

Then there was also the Laskar Merah Putih mass organization that damaged the Bekasi District Health Office office. In addition, there were also members of the Gerhana NGO who abused school security guards because they were not given THR, and other incidents that were crowded on social media.
