JAKARTA - South Lampung Regency Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) officers struggled to extinguish the fire in the fuel oil storage warehouse (BBM) in Serdang Village, Tanjung Bintang District.
"We received a report at 17.30 WIB that in Serdang Village there had been a fire that was suspected to be a fuel warehouse, based on the report the team went straight to the location to extinguish the fire," said Head of the Fire Department at the South Lampung Damkarmat Service, Rully Fikriansyah, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 21.
He explained that his party had difficulty overcoming the fuel warehouse fire, because the conditions at the location contained strong winds and fuel oil that was flammable.
"To extinguish the fire, we deployed three fire engines from South Lampung and assisted by the Bandarlampung City Fire Department with two units. Until now, the team is still extinguishing the fire at the scene," he said.
