Read The Exception, Hasto Calls It Threatened When Jokowi Fires

The Secretary General (Sekjen) of the PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, said that he had experienced various intimidation for a long time. In fact, he was threatened with suspicion if he fired President Joko Widodo as a cadre of the PDI-P.

The statement was made when reading the objection or exception note at the trial of the alleged bribery case of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR and the obstruction of the investigation.

"In that period, there were envoys who claimed to be from state officials who asked me to resign, not to dismiss or I would be charged and arrested," said Hasto during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Friday, March 21.

The threat occurred in the period 4-15 December 2024. At that time, PDIP indeed agreed to fire Jokowi after reports related to differences in direction of support during the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"The pressure on me is increasing, especially in the period 4-15 December 2024 ahead of the dismissal of Mr. Jokowi by the PDI-P DPP after receiving a report from the Party Honorary Board," he said.

The threat was also called realized. Because, shortly after several cadres were dismissed, including Jokowi, Hasto's previous status as a witness turned into a suspect.

"Finally on December 24, 2024, that is one week after the dismissal of party cadres in the morning was leaked to the media, in the late afternoon, I was named a suspect," said Hasto.

Hasto said that the case that happened to him was a form of criminalization. In fact, claiming to be a political prisoner.

"My attitude remains unchanged that what happened was a form of legal criminalization because of the interests of power beyond it. So I am a political prisoner," said Hasto.

In addition, Hasto also submitted that the indictment file compiled by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) is a recycling product of cases that already have permanent legal force.

"I have read carefully, carefully on the indictment and almost all of them are recycled products. So all of them are recycled products for a case that already has permanent legal force or inkrah," said Hasto.

In this case, Hasto was charged with playing a role in giving money amounting to SGD 57.350 or equivalent to Rp600 million for former KPU RI member Wahyu Setiawan. The giving was done with several people, including Harun Masiku.

The purpose of giving Harun Masiku money can be inaugurated as a elected Legislative Candidate (Caleg) for the 2019-2024 period replacing Riezky Aprilia in the South Sumatra (Sumsel) 1 electoral district.

In addition, Hasto was also charged with obstructing investigations by ordering Harun Masiku to submerge his cell phone and hide in the Police Science College (PTIK).
