The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) brought a suitcase containing confiscated documents from the search at the Ogan Komering Ulu Regency DPRD (OKU) office, South Sumatra. This search is related to the bribery case of nine projects at the PUPR Service.

Head of Section (Kabag) of the OKU DPRD Trial, Ikbal Ramadhan confirmed that today his party received and facilitated a team from the KPK.

Officers from the KPK in special vest uniforms with the words KPK came to the OKU DPRD building at around 10.00 WIB.

The KPK team conducted searches in several rooms, including the Budget Agency (Banggar), the Deliberative Body (Bamus) and the OKU DPRD Secretariat Trial Section as well as the General and Finance Room of the OKU DPRD Secretariat.

After conducting a search for several hours, the team from the KPK brought a suitcase containing a number of documents related to the discussion of the 2025 APBD.

"They have conducted examinations in several rooms such as the Banmus, Banggar rooms, several faction rooms and secretariat rooms. The KPK team also asked for some of the necessary documents related to the discussion of the 2025 APBD, explained Ikbal as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 20.

During the search process, not a single member of the council was present because he was on a working visit to various regions in Indonesia.

"The elements of the leadership and members of the council are not on the spot because they are on a working visit to several areas," explained Ikbal.

The KPK previously named three members of the OKU DPRD, South Sumatra as suspects in the project bribery case at the OKU PUPR Service.

The three are members of Commission III of the OKU DPRD (FJ), Chairman of Commission III of the OKU DPRD (FH) and Chairman of Commission II of the OKU DPRD (UH).

The KPK also named the Head of the OKU (Nov) PUPR Service as a suspect along with two suspects from the private sector, namely MFZ and ASS.

This case emerged after a number of members of the OKU DPRD, namely FJ, FH, and UH, allegedly asked for a principal quota of thought (pokir) in the discussion of the 2025 OKU Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (APBD).

The KPK revealed that the pokir quota was agreed to be transferred to a physical project managed by the OKU Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR) with an initial value of Rp40 billion.

However, due to budget constraints, this amount was reduced to Rp35 billion, with the project fee still agreed at 20 percent or Rp7 billion.

After the agreement, the OKU PUPR Service budget experienced a drastic increase from Rp48 billion to Rp96 billion which was allegedly due to a political compromise related to project rations for DPRD members.

In the hand arrest operation (OTT) carried out on Saturday (15/3/2025), the KPK confiscated Rp2.6 billion in cash from the perpetrators who had been named as suspects to be used as evidence.
