MURADUA - South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Police, South Sumatra is investigating the alleged murder of an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) who was found dead in a rubber plantation in Trans Saga Village.

South OKU Police Chief AKBP M Khalid Zulkarnain said that the victim was identified as Budianto (45), a resident of Pasar Muaradua Village, a local district who was found dead with wounds to the neck in a rubber plantation on Monday at around 09.00 WIB.

When found, the victim also suffered bruises on the left side of the face which had decayed.

It is suspected that Budianto was a victim of a robbery accompanied by murder because the victim's motorbike was not at the crime scene (TKP).

"The victim's body has been evacuated to a local hospital for a post-mortem," Khalid was quoted as saying by ANTARA.

His party has conducted TKP processing, including examining the statements of witnesses in the field to uncover the case.

"We are working on this case to reveal the motive and who caused the victim to die," he said.
