The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named 6 people as suspects in the bribery case for a project at the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) District Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR), South Sumatra.

The suspects who had worn orange and handcuffed vests ranged from members of the OKU Regency DPRD, the Head of the PUPR Service, to the private sector.

Fauzi alias Pablo as a private party, and Ahmad Sugeng Santoso as a private party.

"From the results of the exposure, sufficient preliminary evidence has been found related to corruption in the form of receiving gifts or promises related to the procurement of goods and services in OKU Regency from 2024-2025," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Sunday, March 16.

Setyo said the six suspects were now detained for 20 days until April 4, 2025. The three suspects who are members of the OKU Regency DPRD are placed in a state detention center in the KPK building C1

Meanwhile, the Head of the PUPR Service and two private parties were detained at the KPK detention center branch, Jalan Kuningan Persada K4, South Jakarta.

Previously, the KPK conducted a hand arrest operation (OTT) on eight people in OKU Regency on Saturday, March 15. The KPK also secured Rp2.6 billion in cash from the OTT.
