BANDUNG - Secretary of the West Java Golkar Party DPD MQ Iswara confirmed that former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (RK) was in good condition after the KPK searched his house regarding alleged corruption in the advertising project of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten (BJB).
Iswara conveyed the news after speaking directly with Ridwan Kamil by telephone on Friday night.
"Alhamdulillah, last night, we managed to communicate with Mr. Ridwan Kamil. First, he wants to convey it in good condition and in Bandung," said Iswara, as reported by Antara.
Ridwan Kamil emphasized his readiness to cooperate and will fulfill all requests of KPK investigators. He said the search was a consequence of the position he had held as governor of West Java.
"He said this is a risk from the position he has held. God willing, if I don't interfere in the problem," continued Iswara.
As of Friday (14/3/2025), Ridwan Kamil had not received a summons from the KPK. "Until last night, he had not conveyed whether there was a summons or not," added Iswara.
Previously, the KPK searched Ridwan Kamil's house on Monday (10/3/2025). The former governor of West Java confirmed this and emphasized his commitment to being cooperative.
"We as good citizens are very cooperative and fully support and help the KPK team in a professional manner," RK said in a statement in Bandung, Monday.
From the search, KPK investigators confiscated a number of documents and items. According to KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto, the documents and items have relevance to the case being investigated.
"Several documents and items have been confiscated, and are currently being studied and researched by investigators," said Setyo at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/3/2025).
As of Friday (14/3/2025), the KPK has not established a legal status for Ridwan Kamil in this case.
