Kejari Explores Alleged Misappropriation Of Funds Of IDR 10 Billion For Siginjai Sakti Jambi BUMD

JAMBI - Jambi District Attorney's Office (Kejari) is investigating allegations of misuse of funds for Jambi City Government (Pemkot) capital participation of Rp. 10 billion in PT Siginjai Sakti Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD).

The Head of Special Crimes (Kasi Pidsus) of the Jambi Kejari, Soemarsono, said that this case began with a report received by his party from the public.

"We are starting to investigate this case," he said in Jambi, Friday, March 14, as reported by Antara.

Although the Prosecutor's Office has not yet named a suspect in this case, the Prosecutor's Office has raised the case from the investigation stage to the investigation stage after collecting information from a number of related parties, including the company's directors.

Investigators have asked for information from a number of parties related to the management of a company that received a capital injection of IDR 10 billion from the Jambi City Government in 2022.

PT Siginjai Sakti, which was founded in 2021, is in the public spotlight because it is considered not to have a clear core business and does not show adequate performance.

Currently, he said, the Jambi Kejari is still waiting for the results of the calculation of state losses being carried out by the authorities.

"We are asking for assistance in calculating state losses from competent parties. After that, we can only continue the process further," he said.

In this case, the determination of the new suspect will be carried out after it is confirmed that there is a state loss.

Jambi Mayor Maulana said his party would immediately conduct an auction for the position of director of the BUMD. He targets Siginjai Sakti to be able to build 100 thousand gas networks (Jargas) for residents of Jambi City.
