Suspected Perpetrators Of Child Abuse In Tebet Often Give Money To Victims, Parents Suspect

JAKARTA Abdurrahman, the father of the boy with the initials SK (8) who is suspected of being a victim of sexual abuse in the Bukit Duri area, Tebet, South Jakarta, revealed that the perpetrator with the initials S often gave money to the victim and carried him. This was revealed by Abdurrahman to reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday, March 14.

According to Abdurrahman, the perpetrator, who lives behind the victim's house, often gives money to his son even since three months ago.

"My son always said that the perpetrator gave money, not the first time this happened, often before fasting 3 months ago, he used to pay Rp. 10,000 to my son," said Abdurrahman.

Abdurrahman had time to ask his son why the perpetrators often gave money. However, the victim only replied that the money was given for no specific reason.

"Often we charge money, we 'feeling' here parents are suspicious. That's one month before fasting," he said.

Apart from giving money, the perpetrator is also known to often carry the victim. Both of them looked familiar because the perpetrator lived not far from the victim's house.

The alleged sexual abuse occurred on Wednesday, March 5, at around 05.00 WIB, after the victim returned from the Fajr prayer. According to Abdurrahman, the perpetrator pulled the victim to the sidelines of two cars with minimal lighting at that location.

When beaten with the head of the local RT, the perpetrator admitted that at that time he was running in the morning and met the victim, then gave him money and carried him. The perpetrator admitted that what happened was just an accident.

However, Abdurrahman regretted that until now the perpetrators had not been arrested and were still carrying out activities as usual.

The Police from the South Jakarta Metro Police stated that the report on the alleged molestation was in the process of being investigated.

"We are investigating. What was reported was the initials S and the victim was the initials SK aged 8 years," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Nurma Dewi.

In his report, the perpetrator is suspected of violating Article 76E of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning criminal acts of persuading children to commit obscene acts. The report was recorded with the number LP/B/778/III/2025/SPKT/Polres Metro South Jakarta/Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, March 6.
