KPK Immediately Call Ridwan Kamil Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In The Placement Of BJB Bank Ads

This assurance was conveyed by the Director of Investigation Budi Sokmo when asked about Ridwan Kamil's legal status in the case being handled. The head of the task force (kasatgas) for the corruption case of placing Bank BJB advertisements said the chairman of the Golkar Party DPP could not be named as a witness.

"What status is Mr. RK? If his status is up to now, yes, in this case the witnesses haven't, because they haven't been summoned as witnesses yet," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted Friday, March 14.

However, Budi stated that Ridwan would be summoned. Moreover, his house has been searched and confiscated a number of items allegedly related to the corruption case being handled.

Based on the information gathered, investigators confiscated two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles from Ridwan Kamil's house. Then also found documents related to the case being investigated.

"We have confiscated some evidence, of course we must clarify it to the person concerned," he explained.

"Regarding when, of course, as soon as possible we will summon witnesses related to the results of the search that we carried out to clarify the evidence we took and confiscated," continued the investigator.

Previously reported, the KPK will investigate the involvement of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil in the corruption case of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk (BJBR).

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto, when asked about whether Ridwan Kamil's role in the corruption case was being handled. This is because this incident occurred in the period 2021-2023 or when the chairman of the Golkar Party DPP served as governor.

"Well, that will be specific from the investigation. Later, there will definitely be involvement or not, or only witnesses, or only internal BJB itself who do things that are not in accordance with the rules," Setyo told reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 12.

Saat ini, sudah ada lima tersangka yang ditetapkan KPK dalam kasus ini. Mereka adalah eks Direktur Utama Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi dan Pimpinan Divisi Corporate Secretary Bank BJB Widi Hartoto.

Lalu turut ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dari pihak swasta, yakni Pengendali Agensi Antedja Muliatama dan Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Pengendali Agensi BSC Advertising dan PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; dan Pengendali PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) dan PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. Surat perintah penyidikan (sprindik) dikeluarkan pada 27 Februari 2025.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended as needed.
