The Issue Of The Death Of Kenzha Walewangko, UKI Students Continue To Grow, Witnesses Increase To 27 People

The East Jakarta Metro Police have again examined the witness in the case of Kenzha Walewangko's death (22), a UKI Fisipol student for alleged abuse in the campus area. The number of witnesses to date has increased, to 27 people.

"We are still collecting evidence, the witnesses we have examined until the 8th day from the police report, there have been 27 witnesses," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, March 13.

Of the 27 witnesses, continued the Police Chief, from the UKI there were 7 witnesses who were examined, 1 person from the Rectorate, 1 only from the campus authority and 5 security guards.

In addition, there were also 2 additional witnesses from the UKI Hospital. Meanwhile, 19 UKI students were also examined.

"So there are 19 students who we have examined," he said.

Kombes Nicolas said there would be additional witnesses because many issues developed so that the police continued to seek this information.

"Who gave this information, who said he saw that there was a crime there. So when we found out there was just a name, we immediately sent a letter of invitation for clarification," he said.

Currently, the case is still in the investigation stage and collecting evidence to be able to decide whether this is a criminal act or not.

"So at least two pieces of evidence. So according to the issues circulating and there are also videos circulating, until we can also ask where the crime is?" he said.

The investigation process is carried out in a Scientific Crime Investigation process. Scientific Crime Investigation takes time.

"We can't immediately or quickly, because there is evidence of an autopsy, digital forensic evidence, proof of toxicology, histopologies, there is more DNA, all examinations. So we have to prove it all Scientific Crime Investigation," he added.

Kombes Nicolas said investigators would also determine according to the evidence confiscated at the TKP in the form of used liquor bottles.

"We also have to check all of them. So that we don't make the wrong conclusion later," he said.
