Commission I Of The House Of Representatives Ensures Revision Of The TNI Law Completed Before Eid

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the House of Representatives Dave Laksono ensured that the discussion on the revision of the TNI Law would be completed before entering the Lebaran recess. The majority of DPR Commission I members also do not want to linger in discussing it.

"Now there is a discussion process, we will consignment and then immediately enter the timus and timsin, as soon as possible. We don't want to be long-winded but all the processes must be passed. There are still around this week and next week, yes, if we hurry, we will finish it," said Dave at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 13.

The Golkar legislator said that the completion of the TNI Bill was carried out quickly for the benefit of the community. On the other hand, this also proves that legislators work optimally.

"Yes, we don't want to be long-winded, this is the law on community needs, we are here to serve the community," said Dave.

"If we are slow, it means that we are not working optimally, then we are working optimally by completing all our tasks properly in accordance with the applicable rules and needs," he concluded.

For information, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin has conveyed 3 points of change in the revision of the TNI Law. Namely related to the position, extension of the term of office and assignment of the TNI to be active in government.

The Minister of Defense proposed the expansion of active TNI assignments to 15 ministries/agencies. 10 of them are in charge of Coordinators for Politics and National Security, State Defense, Presidential Military Secretary, State Intelligence, State Passwords, National Defense Institutions, National Defense Council, Search and Rescue (SAR) National Narcotics, and the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, 5 additions are at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, BNPB, BNPT, Maritime Security and the Attorney General's Office.
