Mendes PDT Calls Village Funds To Be Bancakan, Available For Judol To Create Fictitious Sites

JAKARTA - Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto said village funds turned out to be a bancakan. Some use it for online gambling to create fictitious websites.

Yandri conveyed the findings of the evaluation when he visited the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 11. He intended to ask the KPK to provide assistance so that irregularities do not occur.

"We came to the KPK to work closely together to prevent leakage of village funds and others," said Yandri after a closed meeting with the KPK leadership.

"Because based on the evaluation of the last few years, many village funds have been flooded by irresponsible individuals, including for online gambling, there are also fictitious websites, and so on," continued the politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN).

Yandri said the discussions held by his party were effective and would continue to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

"We want to ensure that the rupiah per rupiah of state funds that slides to the village or at the Ministry of Villages can really be accounted for," he said.

In addition, Yandri also mentioned the Red and White Village Cooperative whose implementation was based on the order of President Prabowo Subianto. According to him, this program also needs to be monitored to prevent corruption.

With this supervision, Yandri continued, it is hoped that the Asta Cita program to build villages and economic equity can be realized.

"Therefore, it is necessary to cooperate with all parties, including we need assistance or close cooperation with the KPK. Previously we had also collaborated with the National Police Headquarters and the Attorney General's Office," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa said there was a lot of information that had been pocketed by the KPK from Mendes PDT Yandri Susanto.

It is certain that they are ready to carry out assistance as requested.

"In principle, the KPK supports the Minister's programs and later we will also periodically discuss further the addition," concluded Cahya.
