Man In Jakarta Dies By Electrocution While Installing Light Steel Roof In Depok

JAKARTA - A man with the initials S (32) died after being electrocuted while installing a light steel roof frame on Jalan Studio Alam TVRI No. 37, RT 001, RW 006 on Monday.

"Initially, according to witness statements, the incident occurred when the victim was about to install a light steel roof that was four meters long but the light steel stuck to the high voltage power cable at the location," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol. Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement, Tuesday, March 11.

Ade Ary explained that as a result of the incident the victim was electrocuted and fell.

"Then saw the victim fall and still alive, the witness took the victim to Hasanah Graha Afiah Hospital (HGA)," he said.

Arriving at the hospital. HGA, the victim immediately received medical treatment but the victim was declared dead.

"The victim was declared dead with burns on his palms and ankles as a result of being electrocuted and bruises on his head as a result of falling," said Ade Ary.

Furthermore, the family came to see the victim's body and received the work accident. The family also did not want an autopsy to be carried out by giving a statement letter.
