Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday said rain with high intensity caused the Cinangka River embankment that crossed the Purwakarta Regency area of West Java to burst on Saturday (8/3) afternoon.
This incident resulted in flooding in residential areas in Cikaobandung Village, Jatiluhur District.
Based on the data collected, the flood affected 156 housing units belonging to 156 local village heads of families.
The flood also caused that one housing unit suffered minor damage, as well as access roads connecting Jatiluhur and Sukasari sub-districts could not be passed because it was covered by a fairly high flood.
