4 Peak Tourist Areas Sealed By Floods, Komeng: Good Governor

JAKARTA - Member of the DPD RI from West Java, Alfiansyah Bustami or Komeng welcomed the Government's move to seal four tourist attractions in Puncak, Bogor Regency, West Java. The sealing was carried out because it violated the land transfer permit and allegedly triggered flooding.

According to Komeng, the West Java governor Dedi Mulyadi's quick response to the peak flood disaster was very good. Komeng said, the Puncak area was the beginning of solving the flood problem in Jakarta and Bekasi, which recently occurred.

"It's good, Mr. Governor. If that's the cause of the flood. Because what should be infiltration of water, this is a building. The peak is upstream, the downstream is to Jabodetabek," said Komeng, Friday, March 7.

Komeng then asked the government not to be favoritism in taking action. He said all buildings that violate the rules must be put in order.

"No favoritism, whether it belongs to BUMD or the private sector, if it is disturbing, it must be brought under control," he said.

In addition to the conversion of tourist land, Komeng said that buildings along the river also need to be put in order. According to him, it is important to ensure that the river flow remains smooth.

"Buildings along the river from upstream to downstream are also brought under control. Let the river flow run smoothly," he said.

It is known that the Coordinating Minister (Menko) of Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), Minister of Environment (MenLH) Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, Governor of West Java (Jabar) Dedi Mulyadi, and Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto sealed four tourist attractions in the Puncak area, Bogor Regency, Thursday, March 6. The sealing was carried out because the tourist attraction violated the conversion function of land.

The first locations that were sealed were the Ciliwung Tea Factory in Telaga Saat, Hibisc Fantasy, the PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) I Regional 2 Agro Wisata Gunung Mas and Eiger Adventure Land buildings.

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that his party would restore West Java's nature as before in accordance with the spatial arrangement. This is to save the people of West Java and Jakarta.

"For this reason, we will also coordinate with the Governor of Jakarta to discuss this because West Java is the doorstop for Jakarta and most importantly residents in Jakarta, no longer building villa buildings and the like in Puncak," said Dedi.
