146 Million People Predicted To Go Home For Eid 2025, DPR Reminds Police To Be Top Priority Comfort

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission V DPR RI, Syaiful Huda paid serious attention to the preparations for the 2025 Eid homecoming which is predicted to be carried out by 146.48 million people. He warned that this year's homecoming could run safely, comfortably, and even zero accidents.

"Those are all lives. And it is the responsibility of the Head of Traffic Police Headquarters, so that there is no accident," said Huda, Friday, March 7.

Although the first time Eid homecoming was carried out was in the midst of implementing budget efficiency, Huda reminded the government and all stakeholders related to the implementation of the homecoming flow not to forget that the main priority of the country is safety and safe life insurance for citizens.

Huda emphasized that the government must also adhere to the doctrine of safety, security, and comfort. With these three doctrines, according to him, the potential for problems to occur can be minimized.

"So that the emphasis on security and comfort must be a priority and the main doctrine in the implementation of the 2025 Homecoming Flow," he said.

"Because going home only once a year, it must really be done comfortably. It is not enough just to be safe, and safe, but also to be comfortable," added Huda.

On the other hand, Huda expressed his appreciation to the government for making preparations for a long time. For example, about the reduction in flight ticket prices. The government, he said, also provides an intensive 6 percent VAT from ticket prices.

However, Huda highlighted transportation management. For example, plane tickets have decreased, but there are still problems with aircraft delays and aircraft buildup.

"So, the management of transportation must be really prime in welcoming the Eid homecoming," he said.

Regarding infrastructure readiness, according to him, it can be handled relatively well. Even though it is still under road repairs, he ensures that everything will run smoothly.

"We can ensure that in general in this situation, improvements are ongoing and can be completed immediately," said the Chairman of the West Java PKB DPW.

Then, he also asked for easy access to information. Including access to information when an accident occurs.

"So that this Eid homecoming becomes a homecoming together, and a shared responsibility. When there is a problem, it can be easily resolved," said Huda.

"As members of the DPR RI, we are in a supervisory position. We will oversee the implementation of this year's Eid homecoming," he concluded.
