JAKARTA - A man with the initials D (45) was arrested by the Unit VI Team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police at the Pulogebang Terminal, East Jakarta. D is suspected of being the collector of the stolen car that was previously stolen at the Senen Indah Hotel, Senen District, Central Jakarta.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, explained that suspect D acted as the recipient of the stolen vehicle and changed the vehicle number plate so that it would not be easily recognized.
"We have arrested one suspect who played a role in the planning and detention of the stolen car. However, the other two perpetrators are still being chased and have been on the wanted list (DPO)," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Friday, March 7.

This case began when the victim, NY (47), came to Jakarta from Bandung on February 17, 2025, after being promised assistance by a man named Partogi Hutasoit who claimed to be a member of the police. NY then stayed at the Senen Indah Hotel.
The next day, when the victim was caught off guard, the perpetrator took the car key that was placed in the hotel room and took away the victim's vehicle, namely the gray Honda Brio with police number D 1639 AGL.
The stolen car was then taken to the Pulogebang Terminal to be handed over to D and another perpetrator with the initials DB alias Deni Botak. The police managed to arrest D, while Partogi Hutasoit and Deni Botak are still being chased.
