KPK Receives MBG Budget Report Prabowo Program Disrupted: It Should Be Rp. 10 Thousand But Received Rp. 8 Thousand

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received a report on the free nutritious food budget (MBG) which became a government program for President Prabowo Subianto to be tampered with. The amount that has been determined by the central government has decreased when it reaches the regions and has reduced the quality of food.

This was conveyed by KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto during an audience with the ranks of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) on Wednesday, March 5 at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"We have received reports of food reductions that should have been received worth Rp. 10,000 but only Rp. 8,000 was received. This should be a concern because it has an impact on the quality of food," Setyo said as quoted from the KPK's official statement, Friday, March 7.

In the future, Setyo ensures that the KPK participates in supervising the National Nutrition Agency to oversee the free nutritious food program through the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring. Thus, financial governance can run transparently and accountably.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana conveyed that requests for assistance had also been made to several institutions such as BPKP, BPK, and the Attorney General's Office. This step was taken because the budget managed by the institution was IDR 70 trillion and could increase by IDR 100 trillion in the third quarter of 2025.

However, BGN still feels the need to invite the KPK. "Next year, the budget will most likely reach IDR 400 trillion. We ask for help for supervision," said Dadan.

The KPK Deputy Chairperson Ibnu Basuki Widodo and Fitroh Rochahyanto were also present in this meeting along with other structuralities. Meanwhile, BGN was also present as the Main Secretary of the Sarwono National Nutrition Agency, Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation Nyoto Suwigno, President Inspector of the National Nutrition Agency Jimmy Ginting, and other officials.
