BENGKULU - Bengkulu Governor Helmi Hasan brought in professional barbershops (barbershops) to schools in response to complaints from students about hair raids that were considered excessive, which made some of them feel pressured.
"This is a vent from school children on my TikTok. The solution is that we bring a barbershop directly to school. School intentions are good for disciplining students, but I urge you not to let hair raids actually make them feel intimidated," said Helmi Hasan as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 6.
With the professional barber, said Helmi, students get good hair from the model side and of course they are also neat according to the needs of a student.
Helmi Hasan asked schools to no longer make raids that traumatized students. Students should look neat, not only for educational needs, but also for the sake of a better performance than students.
In addition to hair raids, Helmi also highlighted various school policies that have the potential to burden students and parents, such as fees, tour studies, farewell fees, and pending diplomas.
The governor ensured that there would be no such practices in schools in Bengkulu.
Chairman of the Bengkulu Tukang Cukur Community (TCB) Remin assessed that the program not only helped enforce discipline in schools, but also provided opportunities for local barbershops to develop more.
