Kejari Bireuen Damaikan Kisruh Using Mosque Funds

BANDA ACEH - The Bireuen District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Aceh Province, has reconciled the chaos with the Kenazran Mosque Agency (BKM) of the Taqwa Mosque, Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency, regarding the use of funds for the construction of the house of worship.

"The chaos at the Taqwa Gandapura Mosque BKM ended peacefully after we facilitated its completion. This chaos occurred because it was not transparent in the management of funds for the construction of mosques," said Head of the Bireuen Kejari Munawal Hadi in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, March 5.

The chaos occurred between the old management and the new management of the BKM Taqwa Gandapura Mosque. The chaos occurred related to alleged irregularities in mosque funds for construction.

According to Munawal, his party together with the technical team had directly checked the construction of the mosque. As a result, the construction process is carried out according to specifications.

"The accusation that the old management and the new BKM management in managing the mosque construction funds triggered chaos. Finally, we have the initials to facilitate the parties to resolve the chaos that occurred," he said.

Munawal said that his party called the parties involved in chaos. After getting an explanation, the parties finally agreed to make peace and end the chaos.

"We also don't want this chaos to drag on because it will reduce public trust. This problem occurs just a misunderstanding and is not open in managing the mosque's construction funds," said Munawal Hadi.

The Head of the Gandapura Azmi Sub-district appreciates the ranks of the Bireuen Kejari who reconcile the parties. The settlement of the chaos rebuilds a harmonious relationship between the mosque administrator and the community.

"We hope that this chaos will not be repeated. And to the BKM management, we remind them to be more transparent in fund management and coordinate with the parties regarding the construction of mosques," said Azmi.
