JAKARTA - The Travel Pulse Group Survey revealed that 91 percent of Indonesian tourists plan to vacation abroad this year.
The survey, which was conducted in December 2024 through GlobalWebIndex (GWI), includes 7,000 respondents in 14 countries, namely Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Mainland China, India, Indonesia, and the United States.
"It was revealed that 91 percent of Indonesian tourists plan to carry out international tourism in 2025," said General Manager Klook for Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, Sarah Wan, Tuesday, March 4.
Sarah explained, from Indonesian tourists who will spend Eid time with their families abroad, as much as 55 percent will travel internationally in the next 3-6 months, including during the Eid period.
"We see that more and more Indonesians spend Eid al-Fitr moments with their families traveling abroad," said Sarah.
There are three favorite destinations for Indonesian tourists in 2025, namely Japan, Singapore and South Korea. The favorite destination cities for tourists who want to travel to Japan are Tokyo and Osaka, the two largest cities in Japan.
