JAKARTA - Ukraine said Russian missile attacks on military training sites on weekends caused deaths and injuries. Ukraine confirmed a criminal investigation was being carried out on the possibility of negligence.
The Russian Ministry of Defense shared a video called the Iskander-M ballistic missile attack in camps in the Dnipropxisk region on Saturday, March 1 last weekend.
Russia said the attack resulted in many casualties.
Meanwhile Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukraine's military commander, said via Telegram Russia attacked with a bunch bomb but did not disclose details of the victims.
The Ukrainian law enforcement agency said it had opened a criminal investigation into the possible negligence in the attack, without providing details of what went wrong.
"We witnessed decisions that were not timely and learning were not taken," Ukrainian ground forces commander Mykhailo Drapatyi said via Telegram.
Ukrainian authorities say those responsible will be found.
"No one will hide behind an explanation or official report," he continued.
