P BTID Dismantles Pelampung Fence In Attack Waters

DENPASAR - Officers dismantled a buoy fence that limited fishermen's access while at sea in the Serangan Waters area, in South Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali.

Bali Provincial Satpol PP officers together with the Bali Maritime and Fisheries Service (DKP) as well as PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID) and other agencies revoked the sea buoy fence which had been the barrier when the Serangan fishermen were going to sea in the Kura-kura SEZ area.

"It has been dismantled but not completely, because it is waiting for the water to recede as well. But the mother of our buoy has been removed, and continued by tidying up again, waiting for the water to recede," said Head of Bali Satpol PP, I Dewa Nyoman Rai Darmadi, Monday, March 3.

"Earlier symbolically, we also opened it. Today it was finished (it was all dismantled). Because, from the morning we discussed it, we had a meeting there and we took off the parent rope and we did it together. There were also witnesses from the BTID side from the KKP who were also there," he added.

His party has reported this to the Governor of Bali and at the same time asked that the buoys that limit fishermen's access be dismantled today.

"We have also reported it, and the instructions (Governor of Bali) to be dismantled today, are completed today," he added.

Darmadi emphasized that local fishermen can already pass through this access. But it will be given a marker because it is not far from there there is an activity to build the seabed for the marine that has started running.

"The area there is currently making a marina and the construction has started, there are activities. That's why he made restrictions for that reason, but we just ask that the contents of the sign be opened, where notification is made to the community and fishermen there," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Communication and Public Relations of PT BTID Zakki Hakim said his company had not broken its promise regarding the removal of buoys at the Bali Kurakura SEZ.

"This process takes time because it must go through intensive coordination with various related parties to ensure the safety and smooth running of the project," Zakki said in a written statement.

BTID removed the buoy after receiving guarantees from Bali Civil Service Police Unit and PSDKP-KKP, which supports the safety and security of work in the construction of international national minerals that are ongoing until a sign of warning for project work is installed on Thursday (6/3) later.

He emphasized that the release of buoys and the installation of warning signs that there was work on this project, was a decision agreed upon at the meeting between PT BTID and the KKP Coastal and Marine Resources Management Agency (BPSPL), the Directorate General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP) KKP, DKP, Satpol PP and other related parties.
