JAKARTA - Ukraine's top commander visited the brigade that maintained the Novopavlivka front in the eastern region of Donetsk where Russia stepped up its attack.
The enemy carried out intense offensive actions in the area, trying to break through our troop defenses and seize three settlements, wrote Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Syrskyi did not say when or which part of the frontline he visited.
The Ukrainian military reported 19 battles on the Novopavlivka front in the past day near the villages of Kostyantinopil, Rozdolne, Shevchenko and Burlatske.
